Is Brain Tuberculosis Curable?

To whom it may concern, Greetings, Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, I just wanna ask if brain TB is curable. As we had a problem with my brother. At fist he had head operation due to the water on his brain ( meningitis) doctors findings. He had a successful operation but still in about 4 days he still on bed as in coma status. Since then doctor on the hospital is monitoring his status with a lot of examination especially to his blood and head. Several times for CT scan as well as blood examination. Then doctor says that my brother had blood infictions, TB on his brain that s why he can t move either till now. Is there any hope that my brother will be fine.. Thank you and have a wonderful day. Hello,

I had been in ICU for so long and have seen many of these patients and was given treatment but till if the condition is serious it gets difficult for us also to explain to you the problems happening. I have seen many patients who get better and some get worse and die. Chances are that if they are young prognosis is good as far tuberculosis is concerned it's a curable disease if there is no resistance. If he has resistance to drugs given then changing antibiotics would be of some help. Ask your doctors for changing medications. It might help you in some way.
