Is Brain TB Contagious?

I have been under Brain TB treatment for last three & half months. My health condition seems much improved & comfortable compared to the time before detecting it. Taking Government provided TB medicines & one Vitamin with it. I want to know, is brain TB infection spreadable? should i take precautions? I stay with my family, Sleep with my wife. would it spread infection to my family?

Hi,

Noted the history about your having under treatment for brain TB for the last three and half months, stays with family and sleeps with wife,
wants to know the precautions.
If you are suffering from BRain Tuberculosis alone and the lungs are free from tuberculosis as seen by X-ray or CT scan of lungs then there is nothing to worry about.
Tuberculosis of brain is not at all contagious.
Lead a normal life.
Any way, within 15 days of effective anti-tubercular treatment the infectivity of pulmonary tuberculosis get controlled.
Enjoy the family life as if you are not suffering from any disease.
