Is Blue Color Discharge From Breasts While On Duloxetine A Concern?

I have been taking duloxetine for a couple of years for my arthritis. In the last 6 months I have been noticing that my underclothes have been stained with the color blue similar to the blue on the capsule of the pill.
This is occurring especially on my bra, underneath my breasts. and around my waist of my underwear. Should I be concerned. Also, when I wash my clothes, the blue does not come out.

Hello,

I understand your concern. Duloxetine in breast discharge, although very rare, is a side effect of this drug. There is no cause for concern though, apart from the hassle of taking the stain off your clothes. As a doctor, if my patient was not willing to put up with this part, I would prescribe an alternative drug, such as Pristiq. However, it is up to you and your doctor to decide on the best treating course.

Wishing you all the best.
