Is Blotchy, Purplish Skin With Itchy Bumps On Body Post Being In The Sun Normal?
I was in the sun for about 5 hours with 15spf on my body. It has been about three days and my legs are very blotchy and almost look purple. I have itchy bumps all over my legs as well. Still a little stiff but the actual pain is starting to subside. I have been applying aloe and Benadryl for the itching. Is this normal? When will it go away?
As per your query you have excessive exposure to sun due to which you got itching , purpulish rahes which is due to sun burn. It is because of increased sensitivity of your skin to UV rays of sun which caused hyperpigmentation. Well its normal , it varies from person to person skin senstivity.
I would suggest you not to scratch any rash on your body as it will cause blood leakage from them and exagerrate your symptoms. Donot get your self exposed tp sun uncovered. Use TAN CARE specifically for sun burn with SPF 35. Take cotton dipped in cocunut oil and apply over rashes it will fasten healing.
Your symptoms will start resolving in 2-3 days. If your symptoms keeps on exagerrating then visit dermatologist once.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
