Is Blood Test For Pregnancy Accurate?

I suspect that I am pregnant, I have had an upset stomach for about a week and a few other signs, I did a blood test and it came out negative. I want to know how accurate the blood test is and if there is a time when the blood test comes out negative. I will do another test soon though.

Hi,
HCG level for pregnancy test would increase in pregnant women as early as 10 days after conception. It keeps on raising during pregnancy. It can be done in both urine and blood sample.
Beta-HCG is the once which is usually evaluated as it is more specific for pregnancy. Standard tests are done for Beta-HCG only
Early morning sample for urine is best if you testing a urine sample.
Test performed too early could be the main cause. Others include dilution or or associated hematuria.
In blood samples, hemolysis during collection is the usual cause.
