Is Blood Spots Symptom Of UTI Or Pregnancy?

Hi, I had to go pee but I waited too long to go use the bathroom. When I finally went to go pee it was hurting a lot to pee, only very little drops were coming out, and some blood came out as well. It happened yesterday once. I feel fine now n have no more bleeding. I was wondering if this could have happened because I held my pee in too long, a urinary tract infection, or what people call spotting from possible early pregnacy signs?

Just took an Ept pregnancy test today came back negative. I'm suppose to be getting my period in 5-6 days apx

Any info would be great! Thanks :)

Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

Blood in you urine,doesn't always mean a UTI. Even when a small stone passes through your urethra might give you some drops of blood. I suggest,since you feel fine, to wait for a couple of days. I am going to write the most common symptoms of a UTI,so in case you have these symptoms you need to do an urine test/urine culture and take the necessary treatment.
Symptoms of UTI:
-A strong, persistent urge to urinate.
-A burning sensation when urinating.
-Passing frequent, small amounts of urine.
-Blood in the urine (haematuria)
-Passing cloudy or strong-smelling urine.
-Pelvic discomfort.
-A feeling of pressure in the lower abdomen.
-Low-grade fever.
