Is Blood Pressure Of 160/100 A Cause For Concern?

I have high blood pressure 160 over 100 . My doctore has given me 20 gram of Lercanidipine but 10 days later my BP is still the same. I am 60 years old, 1.65 in height, weigh 60 kilos and have an active lifestyle and eat a low fat, no sugar, low salt diet with lots of fruit and veg.

I understand your concern
160/100 blood pressure is high and require proper treatment under advise of MD physician.
You can ask for increase dose and frequency of lercanidipine.
If blood pressure will not decrease then some other drugs should be added
like metaprolol, losartan
Continue your active life style
