In almost all cases, taking thyroxin will not disqualify you as a blood donor. Your eligibility will be based on the reason that the medication was prescribed and you meet all other eligibility requirements of blood donation. As long as the condition is under control and you are healthy, blood donation is usually permitted. But check your hemoglobin. In order to donate blood, a woman must have a hemoglobin level of at least 12.5 g/dL, and a man must have a hemoglobin level of at least 13.0 g/dL. For all donors, the hemoglobin level can be no greater than 20 g/dL.
Thanks
