Is Bleeding In Ears, Itching And Muffled Hearing After Using Q Tip Concerning?

I m an goober I was cleaning my ear with a q tip after sitting for a min my ear was itching so I itched and had a fingertip covered in blood I used a q tip again to see if I could clean up the blood (I have been told I have swimmers ear) and I have no pain it still sounds muffled like usual do you suggest getting checked right now or wait tell morning???

Regarding your query for bleeding in ear, itching and muffled hearing after using q-tip for ear cleaning compel us to think over traumatic injury by sharp q-tip over skin of ear canal and ear drum. As there is muffled hearing means ear drum is most likely got perforated in this process.

It will be better to consult ENT doctor for treatment but need not to worry as regeneration power of ear drum is excillent. Till you are waiting for specialist you may take-

1- Tab Paracetamol.

2- Antihistaminic.

3- Keep ear clean and dry (don't put any drop in ear).
