Is Bleeding From A Vein After A Tuberculin Skin Test Normal?
I ve been an RN for many years and I have received many TB skin test. I received a test about an hour ago which was given over a vein and possibly in the vein. There was a small amount of bleeding. I m wondering if any harmful effects can occur from TB test being injected in vein
Hello. The TB skin test doesn't use the Bacterium of Tubercolosis, but a mix of its proteins. You don't have to worry about the fact that this proteins have been in contact with your vein (and blood), there is no danger of an infection and your vein will not suffer from this little injection. Regards
