Is Being Sensitive To Heat Normal For An Individual Taking Cancer Medication?

I am currently on Ibrance and anestrole for breast cancer. I was previously on Afinitor also. My onco took me off the Afinitor last month due to complications with lungs. I am super sensitive to heat now. Anytime I get the least bit warm, my skin on my legs, arms, torso, and head feels as if I have rolled in Nettles. The skin burns and prickles. Is this a symptom you normally see after breast cancer meds?

Hi,

Some cancer drugs make your skin more sensitive to light and heat. You can take antihistamines like pheniramine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist you can consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
