Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 45 year old female. I am a teacher and there has been a bronchial virus going around the school I teach at. I have had a bad productive cough for over 2 weeks which has produced a green coloured phlegm. The cough is better, albeit I still have a slight cough, but I have a bleach-like taste in my mouth which increases when I cough. I did not take any antibiotics. If my cough has improved should I be worried about the taste as some answers seem to say that a bleach-like taste could be pneumonia?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. Don't worry, yo are in a process of cure, and the cough may continue for few more days, and the smell may be due to the old phlegm, that also will be cured in a few days. You be in touch with your doctor, if necessary,he may give you one more course of antibiotics. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. thank you.
