Normally, rabies vaccine is given to people at high risk of rabies to protect them if they are exposed. It can also prevent the disease if it is given to a person after they have been exposed. The treating doctor determines if you need to be vaccinated. I would like to ask you if the animal that bite you was a home or street puppy? Was it diagnosed with rabies or is it dead? Since your doctor didn t consider that it was necessary for applying anti rabies vaccine and immunoglobulins, and since you do not have any symptoms, I don t think it is necessary to do the vaccine at this moment. Anti Tetanus vaccine is a vaccine for a different infectious agent, and it doesn t provide you protection against rabies, but against tetanus. Hope I answered to your question.
