Is An Extra Dosage Of Piriton Advisable For Hay Fever And Itchy Eyes?

I take fexofenadine to control hayfever. It is reasonably effective unless pollen counts are very high, at which point I suffer a lot - my eyes get very itchy and I need to use more ventolin than usual. I am 56 and generally in good health. Can I safely top up with piriton when my symptoms are particularly bad?

Piriton dose should not be increased because of its potential side effects. If the symptoms persist better to start on low dose steroids like wysolone.
