Is An Estradiol Skin Patch Effective?

I am presently taking estradiol 0.5 by mouth and am thinking about switching to a skin patch, hopefully a once a week type. I am chronologically 73 years old and have been taking the same dose for years. My doctor wants me to switch to the patch. What company s product do you suggest?

iHello,

It is all the same and you can switch over. Estradiol is estrogen generally used in menopause to compensate hormone and decrease the deficiency problem.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
