Is Alcohol Consumption Advisable While On Sertraline And Valsartan?

I take 50 mg sertraline for anxiety/hypertension and Valsartan for high blood pressure (lower number 100) which I have had no side affects from other than minor weight gain for past few years. Recently with work stress, I have started drinking alcohol every night after work. I wake up a bit groggy in the a.m. but nothing serious. I m worried about the physical affects on my body organs of this combination, rather than any drug side affects.

Consuming alcohol while on Sertraline and Valsartan can have adverse effect on your body as it is known to have moderate interaction with these medications.
It may affect in controlling your blood pressure and cause certain central nervous system symptoms as adverse effect.
Hence, you need quit consumption of alcohol completely while you are on these medication for your better health.
You can adopt to practice of meditation regularly to calm your mind and be stress free. Also, involving yourself in certain recreational activities will help to overcome stress.
