Is Air Travel Advisable Post A Mastectomy?

Following breast surgery I have an haematoma in the non cancerous breast (they did a reduction of that one at the same time as a partial mastectomy) I am due to fly to Argentina on the 25th July (22 days post op) is that a problem? Email address YYYY@YYYY

Hi there,

This isn't any problem. You can fly. I'd just recommend you get up and walk as much as you can during the flight, but flying after a mastectomy should be safe. I'm a surgeon and I wouldn't have any problem with one of my post mastectomy patients flying after surgery.

I hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions.
