Is Accidental Swallowing Of A Metal Piece A Concerning Matter?
I had delivery takeout from Chinese restaurant and believe I swallowed a small staple. While I was eating I felt something weird on left side of my throat. Then noticed one more small staple in the container. There were staples on the bag where the receipt had been stapled and it must have fallen in the food somehow. Should I assume everything is okay unles I have symptoms over the next few days?

first of all i will advise an xray abdomen to check exact location of staple .
usually the staple will come out with faeces after 72 hours .
you should have foods as bananas .
and xray daily to check transit of staple .
BUT
if you are having any pain or distension of abdomen then you need endoscopy or colonoscopy to remove the staple .
