Is Abdominal Pain In An Elderly Person Due To Gallbladder Issues?

My 88 year old mother-in-law insists on taking Dream On, a homeopathic/herbal sleep remedy nightly. She wakes up in the morning with stomach pains and is very shaky. Could this be a side effect of the pills? She also has been diagnosed with gall bladder sludge and we were wondering if this could also be contributling to her problem?

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Abdominal pain could be due to stones in gall bladder. I suggest you to consult a gastroenterologist for clinical assessment, ultrasound abdomen to look for any stones in gall bladder. Treatment for gall stones is surgical removal of gall bladder.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
