Is Abdominal Pain Due To Accidental Intake Of Chalk In Minute Dosage?
I had chalk on my fingers and eat some chips, probably resulting in eating a little but of chalk. Now my stomach hurts and I don t know if it s because I consumed a little bit of chalk, or just because I caught something. My family is a little bit sick with the stomach bug so it could be that but I m a bit concerned.

A family history of stomach infection along with symptoms of abdominal pain is suggestive of a common infection which has caught all the members of the family.
This could be due to food poisoning, viral or bacterial infection.
If the abdominal pain is severe and accompanied by vomiting and / or diarrhea, you are advised to consult your physician for clinical assessment and a course of antibiotic.
If the pain is mild, then you need to give rest your digestive system.
Avoid taking heavy and spicy meals.
Take light meals devoid of fat and spices.
You may take pain killer for the pain.
Regarding the chalk, I would like to know whether consumption of chalk has occurred only once or is it is regular practice.
If you have consumed the chalk only once, then there is nothing to worry, however, if this is a regular practice, then this may indicate iron deficinecy anemia and you need to consult your physician regarding this habit.
