Is A Tetanus Shot Required After Accidental Injury To Hand?
My 5 year old daughter accidentally stabbed the palm her hand on an anonymous persons earring at the pool. The earring was completely submerged in the chlorinated water so I m not particularly worried but my mother inlaw is all freaked out about tetanus. Should I take her in to get her a tetanus shot or because all her immunizations are up to date is there no cause for alarm?

I really appreciate your concern, some such injury may not need any tetanus shot, it is mostly needed in rusty material which caused the wound still clinical observation would be the way to judge this and better to see the Doctor, it can not be taken as granted this is the practical aspects, hope this helps, take care and have a nice day.
