Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The swollen arm that is painful and hot can be due to an infection or a hematoma formation. The exact cause can be determined only after a direct examination and an X-ray of the area.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Praveen Tayal, Orthopaedic Surgeon
