Is A Surgery To Shorten Bones Recommended For Fibula Fracture?
Hey I have a distal fibula fracture. My doctor is telling me that I need surgery due to shortening between the bones. Its been less than 2 week since the incident and I am capable of walking around my house with minimal pain. I know I shouldnt be putting any weight on my ankle. But I havnt been able to find any information online regarding shortening or surgery and Is it weird that Its almost completely healed on the outside and I can walk yet I apparently need surgery?

I really appreciate your concern, it is all depends upon the nature of fracture which is not give if this is the bad fracture then it may need surgery and if this is the hair line fracture then it may not need any surgery, hope this information may helps take care and have a nice day.
