Is A Spot Near The Inner Corner Of The Eye A Concern?

I have a spot near the inner corner of my eye area lower skin area. I take an baby asperin daily and get this type of spot on my arms by simple knocking a corner. I haven t knocked by eye area. Just got up wash my face and sat down for coffee. My eyes are weepy usually in the morning so I blot them. I think I rubbed the eye this morning but not hard. A few minutes later my husband said I looked like I had a black eye. I went looked and it is only discolored skin on the area where people get dark circles and extends about and inch along the lower lid. Is this something I need to be alarmed or just ride it out a couple of days? YYYY@YYYY

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Aspirin is a blood thinner and therefore you will be more prone to bleeding and bruising. When patients are on blood thinners, their bleeding time and clotting time is routinely checked via blood tests to keep a check on the dosage. There isn't anything to worry about as of now, but it is worth getting yourself reviewed by your concerned doctor who started you on Aspirin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Smruti Pevekar
