Is A Sore Throat Due To An Arthritic Flareup?

I'm having a sore throat but only on my left side. I have NO other cold/flu symptoms whatsoever. Lymph nodes do not seem to be swollen, and throat check looks normal. Since I finished chemotherapy in September for colon cancer, my rheumatoid arthritis has activated severely. I tried some ibuprofen, but it didn't really work. Could this be some other form of RA flare, or is something else going on?

If not relieved then possibility of polyarthritis needs to be considered

Rheumatoid arthritis may involve small joints and early morning stiffness in joints, do you have such complain?
Ankylosing spondylitis typically involve spine and hips with other large joint also. There is reduced chest function in this disease. Stiffness in spine is increased do you have such stiffness in spine?

When such patients come to our hospital I advise them blood test like RA factor, ACCP, ESR, complete blood count, HLA B27
