Is A Small Cut On Finger Followed By Small Lump A Matter Of Concern?

I slightly cut my thumb with a knife while washing dirty vegetables.. It really didn't even bleed. There is now a small lump over the area... I am 54 & have no underlying health conditions... I am in India for a few years and am not sure if I need to wait this out or take action... Thank you!

You have probably developed a small abscess. The pus in the abscess will drain out in a few days. In you don't develop fever, there is no need to worry; the infection is localized. You can do an antiseptic dressing to the affected site to help in the healing process.
