Is A Sharp Pain In The Left Chest Suggestive Of Heartburn?
I just woke up with a somewhat sharp pain in my left chest. I am a 61 year old male with no previous heart problems and I m in pretty good physical shape. I went out to dinner a few hours ago and had ribs and two beers. I m guessing it s heartburn. I don t want to go to the ER. The pain is not dibilitating but has lasted about 30 minutes and I can t go back to sleep. Your suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale
As per your history is concerned all chest pain is not heart attack. So before starting check your vital signs like (blood pressure, pulse, raspiratotry rate, body temperature)and note down and record upto 72 hours.Do one ECG rest as well as exercise to see ST segment. This is for future and presently take one pantaprazole if it is from GI origin it will subside soon.
