Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Monday of this week I went to my dermatologist for a rash on my face. I had blood work which she didn t receive yet . I received a message from her that she remembered me mentioning at the appointment that I recently started taking meloxicam 7.5 mg. I started in February for arthritis, I also take Methotrexate for rheumatoid arthritis. Could this rash be due to the meloxicam and is it serious enough to stop.
* According to my surgical experience, rashes are a common side effect of meloxicam.
* You must inform your doctor`s office and seek to advise for its further continuation or change of drug molecule.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
