Is A Larger Than Normal Head In An Infant A Serious Issue?

My 10 month old daughter had an appointment today with a peditrician because her head is measuring bigger than it should 48 and a half cm the doctor was concerned because she has a prominent forehead and wants a scan or Mir done my daughter is very healthy and reaching milestones the doctor did mention fontal bossing too I m so worried in case it s something serious what s the worst case scenario I m worried sick , thanks

Hi considering the large head your daughter have I am suggesting she have what will call hydrocephalus(excess water in the Bain) so go ahead and do the CT scan or MRI that will definitely demonstrate the cause of the large head
