I fell backwards today from a height of approx. 10 I fell directly on my back with the back of my head hitting the floor. I felt shaken but no broken bones etc but now, about 3 hours later, I have a stange tingling sensation below both ears, in jaw and bae of the scull. I don't seem to have any sense of confusion or dizzyness. Do I need to go to hospital and wait in the waiting room for 12 hours?
I can understand your concern about head injury. You are feeling tingling sensations below both ears, jaw and skull base which is due to the impact at skull bone and spread of the force in above areas. Tingling will subside in 2-3 days. You should consult doctor if you feel nauseating, having vomiting, bleed from ear nose or throat, persistently increasing headache not responding to pain killers. Otherwise wait and watch, you will recover.
Thanks. Hope it ll help you. Take care
