Is A 11 Hour Flight Advisable When On Prednisone For Giant Cell Arteritis?

I wish to fly from San Francisco to England. Is this advisable since I am on prednisone for Giant Cell Arteritis and it is an 11 hour flight? Since this is an imflamatory disease and I have heard of the cabin pressure causing a recurrence of inflammation. Could blindness occur on the plane?
