Is Zenflox-OZ Advisable For A Breast Feeding Mother?

Good evening Actually am getting pain in my right side of stomach doctor prescribed for scan and the review1.Mild splenomegaly 2.Right lumbar region -mild probe tenderness present with few enlarge d non specific mesenteric lymphnodes 3.advise clinical correlation/ further evaluation After three months of csection . Am in feeding stage Doctor prescribed me zenflox-oz I took one tablet but after searching I found that the medicine having side effects am worried about my baby..

Hi & Welcome.
Zenflox-OZ is not advisable during breastfeeding.
The prescribed medication Zenflox-OZ which contains two antibiotics (Ofloxacin & Ornidazole) is secreted in the breast milk which can be harmful to the suckling infant hence, the nursing mother should avoid breastfeeding while taking this medication. Hope the suggestion given would be useful.
