Hi, ive started on Yasmin pill on the 11th sept, had unprotected sex on 14th sept and i took Postinor 2 on the 15th sept morning. I still continued my Yasmin regularly. On the 20th sept had another unprotected sex and i took Postinor 2 again that same night. I am still on Yasmin daily. Had another unprotected sex on the 23rd sept but this round i didnt consume Postinor 2. Just daily Yasmin. Am i still safe from being pregnant?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yasmin is oral hormonal contraceptive pill. It's effectiveness in avoiding pregnancy is 80-85%. So there are15-20% chances that one can be pregnant despite of taking Yasmin regularly. So you are at 15-20% risk of pregnancy. So if you misses your next period then get done Urinary pregnancy test and ultrasound abdomen to rule out pregnancy. Better to avoid unprotected Intercourse if you don't want pregnancy and use condom.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
