Is X Ray Recommended After Finding A Lump In Epigastric Region?

I went to the doctor after noticing I have a small lump around 5 cm in the epigastric region. Right in the middle of my stomach. The doctor felt it, and it was moveable. It hardly has any pain except after excessive lifting. Would you suggest an x-ray with a gastroenterologist? What does it sound like to you?

Hi. X-ray would find out if there is a bowel into the lump which may be a hernia as per your history.
This looks to an epigastric hernia.
