General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Hypothyroidism has to be treated by administration of hormone Thyroxine.
It takes some time for the symptoms to reverse to normal as the hormone levels need to restore to normal. Hence, you need to be patient till that time.
If the symptoms are not getting better even after 3 to 6 months, then the cause has to be evaluated and treated accordingly or it requires the adjustment of dosage.
Kindly do proper follow up with the treating physician.
Hope this information would be useful.
