Is Thyronorm The Right Medicine For Hyperthyroidism?
Hi doc, I am suffering from hyperthyroidism from past 2 years and taking thyronorm 100 mcg (not regularly) I often forget to take the medicine. Is not taking the medicine regularly Can be the cause of uncontrollable thyroid.. Please help me with my query
Thyronorm is a tablet given for hypothyroid state.
Do not worry.
Make sure of diagnosis and then take treatment.
Hypothyroidism is a clinical state characterised by weight gain, feeling fatigue, puffiness face, loss of hair , hypertension and biochemically evidenced by Increased TSH and low T3 and lowT4.
If you mistakenly written as hyper for hypo, may be the down thyroid is not corrected because you are not taking the medicine in proper dosage and regularly.Thyronorm tab has to be taken in empty stomach, half an hour after which you have to take food as food decreases the absorption of medicine
Hope this helps.
Take care.
