Is Tetanus Injection Required After Accidental Pricking Of Insulin Needle?

Hello, i was at work today at a grocery store and i was loading bags into the ladys trunk when i felt a prick. I looked down and she had a bunch of diabetes needles in her trunk that i didnt notice. She apologised and asked me if i was going to worry about it which i replied yes. I asked her if she had and deseases and she said no only diabetes. She was about 50-60 years old. Will i get hep or tetanus? Helpp

Yes, you need to take a booster dose of tetanus vaccine if your tetanus vaccinations aren't up to date.

The fact the the spores of the bacteria Clostridium tetani are widely distributed in soil & other places are very resistant to heat and the usual antiseptics and tetanus is an acute & often fatal disease caused by Clostridium tetani, so there is a risk of getting the infection through this disposable Insulin needle prick which is suspected to be contaminated.
