Is Teneligliptin Advisable Along With Insulin To Reduce Sugar Levels?

Good Morning! Dr, My Mother is suffering with diabetes she had talking Insulin injection since past 1.5 month before that her diabetes reports was showing 380 post sugar which was came down to 250 after a month but our family doctor insisted stop ZOMELIS 50 mg and start teneligliptin..so, will it be more beneficial in bring diwn the blood sugar level pls. answer?

I have gone through your query. Zomelis 50 is vildagliptin a dpp4 inhibitor drug which helps in blocking dpp4 enzyme. In that way your blood sugar can be controlled to some extent. Teneligliptin is a newer drug which has more favourable chemical structure which helps in blocking dpp4 enzyme more efficiently. So taking it will be more effective in controlling blood sugar levels when comparing zomelis 50.
