Is Taxim The Same As Taxim-O?

Hello Dr. I have tooth pain and the Dr. recommended Root canal treatment . He prescribed Taxim 200 mg antibiotic prior too RCT. But from the literature i have gone through, I could not relate this antibiotic to any tooth problem . I hope taxim 200 and taxim-O 200 are one and the same drug. The pharmacist supplied taxim-O .

Hi, there are no TAXIM tablets..but, TAXIM-O (CEFIXIME 200) is available and what your dentist has probably mistakenly written. Your pharmacist has correctly given it. you can use it as it is a brad spectrum drug and can used for dental problems,. all the best.
