Is TSH Going Up From 7.95 To 10.95 While On Being On Homeopathic Medication Normal?
Hi ,I'm Balaji .I am aged about 33 years.I have done testing for Thyroid 3 months ago and it is positive(TSH is 7.95).I went to one of the Homeo hospital in my city and they gave medicines for 3 months.I tested TSH again and it is 10.95 this time. Is this right way that TSH would go up at initial stages ?
Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
Even though homoeopathy has its own advantages, I would not consider the elevation in your TSH level because of this medication. If the level of TSH is going up, you must take advice of your family physician (not homeopath) or medical specialist to rule out hypothyroidism, and start medications if advised.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
