Now doctor has advised me to take one Soliten 5 mg tablet daily .My question is this the right solution & i can control my urination ?
You have undergone surgery of TURP very recently and since then having incontinence of urine .
Incontinence of urine after TURP could be due to one of the following two reasons . 1) Infection at the site of resection of prostate 2) Thermal injury to sphincter urethra (Muscle that controls urine flow).
Consult operating surgeon and get following basic test done 1) Urine Routine and Culture .
Take appropriate antibiotics as per culture report .
Practice kegel Exercises or perineal exercises three times daily .That will to strengthen Sphincter urethra and will help to regain urine control gradually.. . It takes long time ( 3-4 months) to achieve results hence will have to have patience .
