Is Seroquel Safe To Be Taken While On Soma And Trazadone?

I am currently taking Serequil (300 mg) at bedtime, along with (350 mg) of SOMA and 150 mg of Trazadone. I also take 20 mg of Prosac 4 times a day. I also take several other drugs. I would like to know if I should be taking all of these at the same time since I am not feeling well most of the time. Thanks.

It sounds like you are on quite a bit of medication. Were these prescribed to you by the same doctor. Often patients run into problems when they are prescribed one medicine by one doctor and other medicines by another, all to be taken at the same time.

It is not recommended that Seroquel, Trazodone, and Soma be taken at the same time. It can cause a very serious level of sedation. This can cause you very serious poor outcomes and has even been implicated in deaths of patients taking a combination of these medicines.

Prozac (Fluoxetine) and Trazodone, should also not be taken together. Bother of these drugs increase the level of serotonin in your body. A potentially serious outcome of this is a serotonin syndrome which is also can cause bodily injury and death.

None of this is a substitute of information from your own doctor. Some people are taking this combination of medications safely if they are closely monitored by their doctors. Please follow up with the doctor that prescribed these medications.
