Is Robitussin Safe To Be Taken For Sore Throat While On Amiodarone?

As a heart patient taking blood thinners and amiodarone and having a viral cold especially an irritation of the throat is an allergy tablet helpful to reduce the sore throat. It is a CVS product that states active ingredient in which compares to Benadryl allergy ultra tab. My family doctor stated that an antibiotic is not required. Just gargle with warm salt water and take Robbitussin as directed to relieve the throat irritation. Thanks.
