Is Ridol Advisable For Diarrhea?

Loose motion due to carry of heavy luggage.... 10-15 from Morning.... Can I take Ridol before sleeping.... Didn t! Did dinner.. Loose motion are little white and liquid.. Some people are saying dharan.. And to tie thread on toe..Ridol should be taken this time without eating.. Now and afterwards

I understand your concern.
Ridol contains Loparamide, which is used as 'anti-diarrhoeal' agent. It decreases motility and secretion of intestine and increases the absorption from gut (intestine or bowel).
In adults, the initial dose is 4 mg followed by 2 mg after each loose motion. Maintenance dose is about 6 - 8 mg daily and Maximum dose should not exceed 16 mg/day.
However, if diarrhoea is con controlled effectively by use of this drug, it could be of infective origin. You need to seek medical attention and take a course of prescribed antibiotics to overcome the same.
