Is Ramipril Advisable For Hypertension After Renal Transplantation?

I am kidney transplant patient my BP is high I take tab losartan 100mg BD, tab arkamine 0.2mcg TDS, tab Propranolol 40mg TDS But my BPis in morning and evening is high . my creatinine is 1.8 to 2.0 . My transplantwas done in 20 Apr 2015. Doner father . Can I take tab ramipril.

Hi,

We do not recommend using both ACE inhibitors plus ARBs at the same time. As you are using an ARB (Losartan); it's not advisable to use ramipril ( ACE inhibitors ) with it.

However, if your BP is high we can use other drugs like amlodipine or beta blockers. However, do not take any medicine without consulting your Doctor.
