Is Quinacrine Safe For Rheumatoid Arthritis?

I have been taking 20 mg a day of compounded quinacrine since August 20 for rheumatoid arthritis. The pharmacist said it should start to work within 4 to 6 weeks, but I am not feeling any relief yet. Should I continue as directed, have the dosage upped or have my doctor prescribe something else? Thank you, Jane

Hello,

I have studied your case with diligence.
Quinacrine has less efficacy than other anti rheumatoid drugs.

I can help you better if you post x ray reports to me.

Also you can take dose of methotrexate.
I will advise dose 7.5mg weekly.
You can start combination consulting your treating doctor.

There is good role of diet and achieve correction through it, for details you can directly contact on my profile

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. You can ask further query directly on my profile http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-vaibhav-gandhi/63503
