Is Quetiapine 25mg Intake Recommended For Treating Anxiety?

I have beeen prescribed Quetipine (25mg) nightly, which I have been told will help with anxiety or very bad dreams , as I call them. Yet, upon reading further, I see that it is prescribed for scitaphrenia and bi-polar disease, neither of which have ever been mentioned to me by my nuerologist. What gives with this stuff? Am I harnming or helping myself?
