Is Pur-Bloka Better Than Atenolol?

Good day A few days ago I kept on getting dizzy spells, I was extremely exhausted, had heart palpitations and my heart was beating quite vigorously so my doctor concluded by saying its because of anxiety and put me on zopax 0.25mg once a day to control my anxiety and Atenolol 25mg to reduce my heart rate also taken once a day for ten days. After reading stories about complications which people have after stopping Atenolol, I must say it makes me quite nervous. A few years back I had my first anxiety attack and was put on Pur-blocka which worked great for slowing down my heart rate and I had no complications after stopping it. Is Pur-bloka perhaps better than Atenolol interms of its side effects after stopping the medication? Would you say Atenolol is strong then Pur-bloka? Do you think I can switch from Altenolol to Pur-bloka as I would like to suggest that to my doctor.

There is no big difference between Atenolol and Pur-Bloka. Both belong to sane group. Regarding it side effects, these are a big concern if used for only few weeks. Either of them do not cause any big issue. The dreadfully side effects you read are very rare and we don't see them routinely with either of the drug. So you can use either of these and I hope it won't cause you any problems. You can always stop it if it caused a problem.
