Is Provera The Right Medication To Regulate Periods?

I seem to have a hormone imbalance as my periods are irregular my doctor prescribed provera. I would like my cycles to regulate but I am not looking to prevent pregnancy is this the right prescription to take and is provera safe if I am not on any birth control?

HI, Take this drug usually once daily for 5-10 days during the second half of the planned menstrual cycle or as directed by your doctor.This drug when stopped by you you will suffer withdrawal bleed for 3-5 days.I t is advisable to take trenexemic acid along with it in 500 mg dose.
