Is Panadol Advisable For Headache, Painful Ears And Sore Throat?

Hi, I have had a headache for about 8 days now - treating with panadol but it just dulls the pain, which is intense. I am 51 so initially thought it might be hormone-related. I now have very sore ears (for about the last 4 days) and am developing a sore throat (just since this morning). I can t keep taking panadol every 4 hours (which is what I have been doing for the last 8 days). Also, I have a temperature - feel warm but I expect the panadol is keeping it under control. Any ideas?

Hello,

Panadol can help with the pain but does not treat the cause of the symptoms. If you would like a medication that has a longer effect, ibuprofen is one of them which you can take every 6-8 hours but after food to protect your stomach.
If you have fever for longer then 3 days you will need to see a doctor to rule out tonsillitis that requires antibiotics.

I hope I have answered to your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
